Hello, and welcome! I’m Rachel Davis, and I am so excited to share my love for all things baking here at Tasty Recipes. My story started in my mother’s kitchen in Chicago, Illinois, where the scent of Sunday morning pastries or fresh bread was a constant. That’s where I learned that baking is really about precision, patience, and a lot of love.
I’ve now spent **over 18 years** as a professional pastry chef. After training at the French Pastry School, I had the privilege of leading the pastry departments in several award-winning restaurants, focusing on everything from laminated doughs (like croissants!) to delicate, modern desserts.
My philosophy is that baking should never be intimidating. My mission here is to demystify the art, break down complex techniques into simple steps, and prove that anyone can create bakery-quality treats at home.
