Hi, I’m Gideon Patrick, the resident globetrotter and spice expert
at Recipe in Style. My culinary story began
while backpacking through the vibrant street markets of Marrakesh
and Bangkok.

That’s where I truly learned that food is the world’s universal
language, and spices are its most exciting dialects.

After spending **12 years** as a food and travel journalist, my
philosophy is simple: don’t be afraid of the spice cabinet. My
goal is to demystify global ingredients and prove that complex,
